About High Performance Orthotics

Why You're Here

Most people don't look for orthotics first — they look for answers after pain keeps returning, treatments only partly work, or previous orthotics never felt quite right.

If you're here, it's likely because something in your movement, comfort, or performance still isn't where it should be — and you suspect your biomechanics, alignment, or injury needs a more precise solution.

High Performance Orthotics was created for patients who want more than a quick-fit or template-based approach. This is a specialist orthotics design service — where assessment, movement review, and footwear compatibility are treated as essential parts of the design process, not optional extras.

Unlike general care models where orthotics may be one of many treatment tools, HPO is built around orthotic design itself — guided by clinical judgement, movement evidence, and design accountability.

The goal is simple:

Orthotics designed with intent — so support feels predictable, repeatable, and effective.

Our Virtual Assessment Process

The virtual assessment is clinician-led. Steven reviews your needs first, then confirms the appropriate measurement, movement, and footwear captures for your case.

01

Guided Foot Measurement

Steven confirms the appropriate measurement or capture method for your case during the consultation.

02

Movement Video

A short walking or running video shows us how you move and how your shoes interact with your body.

03

Live Design Consultation

Measurements, movement patterns, and footwear needs are reviewed together — so the final design reflects real life, not guesswork.

Guided measurements help us assess accurately.
Clinical expertise ensures the design is right.
The result is a more considered orthotic — built for how you actually move and what you actually wear.

Sports Podiatrist & Orthotics Designer

Meet Dr Steve Singh

Dr Steven Singh (B.Pod) is a Sports Podiatrist and orthotics designer with more than 15 years of clinical experience in biomechanics, injury management, and performance-focused foot care.

He has worked with athletes and active individuals managing overload injuries, movement inefficiencies, and footwear-related pain — where small design decisions often determine whether orthotics succeed or fail.

Alongside clinical practice, Dr Singh taught orthotic design at La Trobe University and has personally designed more than 1,000 orthotics across sport, workplace, and everyday movement needs.

After years of seeing patients struggle with poorly matched or inconsistently designed orthotics, Dr Singh developed a consult-led remote model to deliver specialist-level orthotic design with greater precision and consistency — regardless of a patient's location.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if orthotics are right for me?

If you’re unsure whether orthotics are appropriate for your situation, book a virtual consultation with Dr Steven Singh. He’ll review your symptoms, activity level, footwear, and goals, then recommend the most appropriate next step.

I’m not in Australia — can you still help me?

Yes. Virtual consultations are available internationally. Book a telehealth appointment first, then follow Steven’s guidance on the foot measurements, movement video, and footwear photos appropriate for your case. Please adjust for AEST when selecting your appointment time.

What makes HPO orthotics different from retail or chemist orthotics?

Retail orthotics are pre-made and designed for general use. HPO orthotics are consult-designed based on your foot structure, movement patterns, activity demands, and footwear. They are design-led rather than template-selected, allowing greater precision and fit.

What is the 30-day comfort guarantee?

If your orthotics don’t feel right within the first 30 days, we review your feedback and refine the design as needed at no additional cost. The goal is comfort and functional fit — not simply delivery.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. Patients can book directly using the online booking system.

Can I claim through private health insurance?

Australian patients with podiatry and orthotics extras cover can usually claim both the consultation and orthotics. Claim amounts vary by insurer and cover level.

How long does the process take?

Most orthotics are designed and ready within approximately 7–10 days after consultation.

What shoes can orthotics be designed for?

Orthotics are designed to match the footwear you actually use — including running shoes, work shoes, court shoes, and everyday footwear where appropriate.
