Conditions We Commonly Help

Many people don't initially realise their pain or discomfort is linked to how their feet move, how their footwear interacts, or how load is being distributed through the body.

A Different Way To Approach Foot and Lower Limb Pain

Most conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs are not isolated issues — they are often the result of how your body is loading, moving, and adapting over time.

Rather than focusing solely on the site of pain, our approach considers:

How your foot functions during movement
How your footwear influences load and support
How forces are distributed through your lower limb

Orthotic design is then used to influence these factors — helping create a more stable and efficient movement pattern.

Conditions We Commonly Treat

Plantar Fasciitis & Heel Pain

Pain under the heel or through the arch, often worse in the morning or after periods of rest.

Orthotic support can help reduce strain on the plantar fascia and improve load distribution.

Achilles Tendon Pain

Pain or stiffness through the back of the ankle, often aggravated by running or increased activity.

Orthotics can assist by influencing load through the ankle and improving movement efficiency.

Shin Splints

Pain along the shin, commonly associated with running or increased training loads.

Support through the foot can help reduce repetitive strain through the lower leg.

Knee Pain (Patellofemoral Pain)

Pain around the front of the knee, often linked to movement patterns and load distribution.

Orthotics may assist by improving alignment and reducing stress through the knee joint.

Flat Feet / Overpronation

Feet that roll inward excessively, often contributing to strain through the foot, lower limb and the lower back.

Orthotic support can help provide structure and improve stability.

High Arches

Feet with reduced shock absorption, often leading to increased pressure and discomfort.

Orthotics can assist with load distribution and cushioning.

Sever’s Disease (Children)

Heel pain in growing children, particularly those involved in sport.

Support can help reduce strain during periods of growth and activity.

Forefoot Pain / Metatarsalgia

Pain through the ball of the foot, often aggravated by prolonged standing or activity.

Orthotic design can help redistribute pressure away from sensitive areas and cushion sensitive joints.

When Orthotics May Be Most Helpful

Orthotics are often most beneficial when:

Pain keeps returning despite treatment
Symptoms increase with activity or load
Footwear changes haven’t solved the issue
Previous orthotics haven’t felt quite right

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a diagnosis before booking?

No — you don’t need a formal diagnosis. We assess your symptoms, movement, and footwear to understand what’s contributing to your discomfort and guide the next steps.

Can orthotics fix my condition?

Orthotics play an important role in reducing strain, improving movement, and supporting recovery when used as part of a broader plan. There are some cases where our orthotics can help completely resolve your symptoms on its own. However it would be more typical that we find the best results for your symptoms are when patients use orthotics in conjunction with the correct advice, recommended treatments and rehabilitation.

How long does it take to see results?

Many people notice changes in comfort within the first few weeks, though this can vary depending on the condition, activity level, and consistency of use.

Will orthotics fit in my shoes?

Orthotics are designed with footwear in mind. During consultation (or product selection), we consider the types of shoes you wear to ensure a practical and comfortable fit.

What’s the difference between ready-to-wear and custom orthotics?

Ready-to-wear orthotics are designed to support common movement patterns. Custom orthotics are tailored to your specific biomechanics, footwear, and goals following a detailed assessment.

How long do orthotics last?

This depends on usage, activity level, and footwear, but High Performance Orthotics are designed to last several years. The top cover material on top of the orthotics typically lasts anywhere from 12–24 months.

Can I use orthotics for sport and everyday use?

Yes — different orthotics are suited to different activities. Some are designed for daily wear, while others provide more support for running or training.

What if they don’t feel right?

We offer a 30-day comfort guarantee. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll guide you on adjustments or the most appropriate next step.
